ALL ACTS ARE WELCOMED! \nINSTRUCTIONS TO PARTICIPATE AS TALENT:\nRegister with the Library to be part of the showcase of talent by using this Newburgh Library Event link to register: Holiday Story Hour Newburgh Library Talent Registration Form \nFill out the form completely with your name\, email\, details of your act and a selfie or headshot to be used in marketing the event. \nThereafter additional details for a one-day meet and greet and rehearsal will be sent to talent by Harrie Mulé. This is a non-paying\, non-union showcase. \nOpen call will close when 12 talent registrations are received. Each act will have a maximum of 10 minutes to showcase their talent. \n     \nThe Holiday Story Hour Event is scheduled for December 13\, 2025\, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm\, at the Newburgh Library Main Branch\, in the beautiful Riverview Performance Space.  Come mingle and enjoy the provided holiday treats! \n Event is sponsored by Make a Scene Productions and produced and directed by Artistic Director and local resident Harrie Mulé. \n

DESCRIPTION:This is a casual\, in-person gathering for Writers’ Hub participants who want to spend time together outside the library — writing\, chatting\, and enjoying good coffee. \nWe meet at The Shake & Grind Coffee Shop to sit together\, write if we feel like it\, talk if we feel like it\, and enjoy being in community. Some just come to be around other writers. \nI’m there to facilitate the space – offering writing prompts and tips. \nThere’s no workshop fee for this event.Participants simply need to make a minimum $5 purchase from The Shake & Grind to join the group. \nThis is a social space — relaxed\, welcoming\, and pressure-free — where friendships form naturally and writing feels a little less solitary. \nCome as you are.
