SUMMARY:IMPROV — Think Fast. Stay Present. Have Fun.
DESCRIPTION:Curious about improv\, but not quite sure it’s for you? \nImprov is about being present\, thinking on your feet\, and discovering what happens when you stop planning the next move and simply respond to what’s happening in the moment. \nThrough guided\, interactive exercises\, we’ll explore spontaneity\, creativity\, listening\, and connection—all in a relaxed\, supportive setting. There are no scripts to memorize\, no lines to get right\, and no acting experience required. \nYou’ll have the chance to step outside your usual routine\, take a few creative risks\, laugh\, connect with others\, and perhaps surprise yourself along the way. \nThis isn’t about becoming an actor. It’s about experiencing the freedom of improvisation—responding\, reacting\, creating\, and seeing where the moment takes you. \nCome curious. Leave having tried something you may never have expected yourself to do. \nNo acting experience necessary. Registration required. Space is limited. \nThink Fast. Stay Present. Have Fun. \nWhat participants are saying:“I had a great time!”“This was fun. When’s the next class?”

SUMMARY:VISION BOARDING: THE EXPERIENCE
DESCRIPTION:This is not your typical vision board workshop. \nIt’s a guided\, creative experience designed to help you explore what matters to you—your ideas\, goals\, intentions\, and possibilities—through imagery\, conversation\, reflection\, and creative coaching. \nWhat happens when you stop thinking about what you “should” want—and start exploring what actually matters to you? \nThrough guided meditation\, affirmation building\, reflection\, and brainstorming\, we’ll explore not only what you want\, but ways you might begin moving toward it. We’ll look at possibilities\, generate ideas\, and consider small steps that can help take a desire from “Wouldn’t it be great if…” to “How could I begin?” \nWe’ll spend our time creating\, reflecting\, talking\, having a few laughs\, imagining—and yes\, cutting up magazines and making a bit of a mess along the way. ✂️ \nThis isn’t about making a “perfect” board. It’s about taking some time for yourself to notice what catches your attention\, what keeps showing up\, and where you might want to go next. \nYou’ll leave with a vision board you can revisit as a source of inspiration\, clarity\, and possibility—along with new ways of thinking about how you can begin bringing some of those possibilities into your life. \nMaterials are provided. Bring personal photos\, images\, or scrapbooking supplies if you’d like to make your board even more your own. No experience necessary. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. \nMore than a vision board—an experience.

SUMMARY:Legacy. My Life. My Story
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is an invitation to write the stories that matter — moments from your life\, memories you love\, and experiences you want to share with family and loved ones. \nThrough simple\, guided writing exercises\, we’ll explore personal stories in a relaxed\, supportive setting. You don’t need writing experience. You don’t need to share unless you want to. You just need curiosity and a willingness to try. \nLegacy is about connection as much as creativity. Participants enjoy writing alongside peers\, sharing stories\, laughing together\, and forming new friendships. Many people leave with short pieces they’re excited to give to family as a keepsake. \nThis is not a memoir-writing class. It’s about capturing meaningful moments\, enjoying the process\, and spending a creative afternoon together. \nCome as you are. Write\, connect\, and see what shows up.  No experience necessary.  All are welcome. \n“Harrie is a wonderful teacher\, makes writing fun and easy to do\, I didn’t know I could write!” – Julie B.\, Marlboro\, NY \nRegister Here:  Sarah Hull Hallock Library – Legacy \nor SCAN QR Code

SUMMARY:WRITERS HUB—Coffee Social
DESCRIPTION:This is a casual\, in-person gathering for Writers’ Hub participants who want to spend time together outside the library — writing\, chatting\, and enjoying good coffee. \nWe meet at The Shake & Grind Coffee Shop to sit together\, write if we feel like it\, talk if we feel like it\, and enjoy being in community. Some just come to be around other writers. \nI’m there to facilitate the space – offering writing prompts and tips. \nThere’s no workshop fee for this event.Participants simply need to make a minimum $5 purchase from The Shake & Grind to join the group. \nThis is a social space — relaxed\, welcoming\, and pressure-free — where friendships form naturally and writing feels a little less solitary. \nCome as you are. Write\, talk\, sip coffee\, and see what happens.
