I’m Harrie Mulé — a New York City–trained theater artist who found a creative home in the Hudson Valley more than two decades ago.
I teach creativity through acting, writing, and performance workshops for real people — beginners, seniors, artists, non-artists, and anyone who’s ever thought, “I’ve always wanted to try that, but…”
My background is in theater, and it shapes how I teach. I care about voice, presence, and what feels true — not what looks impressive. My workshops are warm, practical, and experience-based. There’s no pressure to perform, no expectation to be “good,” and no requirement to share unless you want to
I’ve spent over twenty years teaching in libraries, community spaces, and creative programs. What I love most is creating spaces where people feel brave enough to try — and leave remembering parts of themselves they thought were gone.
What I Offer
Workshops
Workshops are the heart of my work. They’re for people who want to act, write, perform, or simply feel more creative in their everyday life. You don’t need experience — you just need a little willingness.
Make a Scene Productions
Make a Scene Productions celebrates original work, supports emerging performers, and creates supportive spaces where people can share their voices. It’s where creativity gets to move from “I wonder if I could…” to “I did.”
Harrie Writes
Writing is another way I explore creativity. I write plays, short stories, and monologues drawn from observation, imagination, and a lifelong relationship with theater and storytelling. My theater background shapes how I write — I care about voice, rhythm, character, and what’s happening beneath the words.
Writing isn’t something I do to fit a category or meet a goal. It’s part of who I am, and it lives alongside my work as a teacher and performer.
Coaching
Sometimes people want something quieter and more personal. I offer one-on-one coaching for creativity, performance, and life transitions — especially for folks who want support finding their footing and taking the next step.
