Creativity Coaching

For clarity, confidence, and next steps.

You might be here because you feel creatively blocked, at a crossroads, or quietly restless for something more aligned. Coaching is a space to name what you already sense —but haven’t had time or support to explore.

What is Creativity Coaching?

Life and creativity are deeply connected. When something feels stuck in life, it often shows up in our creative work too — and vice versa. The challenges we face usually aren’t solved by pushing harder, but by looking at them from a new angle. When you reconnect with your creativity, clarity and movement tend to follow.

Coaching is a pause. A chance to slow down, reflect, and let clarity appear — instead of forcing answers.

At a certain point, you know when something in your life isn’t working anymore. You also know change requires a decision — and that can be hard to sort through alone.

Coaching is your support as you figure that out. We start with where you’re stuck. Over the years, a simple process kept showing up in my work with clients moving them from stuck to clear. I call it R.I.D.

It’s the way I help people sort through what’s actually going on and decide what to do next. It’s a way to move from “everything feels tangled” to “I know what matters now.”

What happens during coaching?

You don’t need a polished goal or a five-year plan to begin.

We start with a simple conversation:

What’s not working right now?

Where do you feel stuck, restless, or unsure?

Sometimes you know exactly what’s wrong.

Sometimes you just know something feels off.

Together we look at what you haven’t named in a long time. Clients often say things like:

I haven’t thought about that in years.

Oh, I didn’t realize that was the real issue.

That moment — when something clicks — usually comes with relief.

From there, we focus on what to do next and we begin to shape what you’ve uncovered into a clear, doable plan —something you can walk away with, follow step by step, and return to when things get noisy again.

Change doesn’t happen all at once.

But this is where it begins.

Who is the Coach?

Harrie, you have a gift for organizing chaos into manageable solutions! – Judy S.

I come to coaching through a life in the creative arts — as a teaching artist, performer, writer, producer, and facilitator — and through years of being in the room with people navigating creative blocks, life transitions, hard decisions, and moments when something clearly wasn’t working anymore.

Earlier in my career, I worked under the umbrella of life coaching. Over time, I noticed something consistent: people didn’t need advice about how to live — they needed a way to think, feel, and decide differently. Creativity became that way in.

Coaching, for me, is not about fixing you. It’s about helping you make sense of what’s there and decide how you want to move forward.
