Workshops

Don’t be bored. Create!

Workshops in acting, writing, and performance — for people who’ve always wanted to try, but weren’t sure where to begin.

Who these workshops are for

Beginners and experienced creatives alike — curious people, cautious people, and anyone ready to try something new.

Start here if you’re curious but unsure

“Harrie creates a space where people feel brave enough to try.” — Julia B.

A lot of people come to my workshops feeling nervous.

They’re not actors. They don’t think of themselves as writers.

They’re just curious — and a little afraid of doing it “wrong.”

That’s okay.

You don’t have to perform.

You don’t have to share.

You don’t have to be good at anything.

You just have to show up.

If you’re not sure where to begin, start with Acting for the Non-Actor.

What you’ll experience

Depending on the workshop, we’ll explore things like:

  • Improv and relaxation exercises
  • Writing prompts and guided exploration
  • Monologue and scene work
  • Sharing, listening, and supportive feedback (always optional)

Featured workshop

Acting for the Non-Actor

This workshop is for people who’ve always been curious about acting but never thought of themselves as “actors.” We work with simple exercises, imagination, and presence — no pressure, no performing for perfection. You’ll step into moments, characters, and stories and see what shows up.

Harrie is an excellent teacher — knowledgeable, passionate, and practical. Her classes are engaging, supportive, and fun. — Alba H.

Creative Writing

A writing workshop for people who want to get words moving — again or for the first time. We write from prompts, memory, observation, and imagination. There’s no right way to write here. The focus is on voice, curiosity, and letting yourself try without overthinking.

The Writers Hub

A shared creative space for people who like to write. We gather to put words on the page, share if we want, laugh, and get unstuck together. It’s about community, curiosity, and making writing feel possible — not intimidating.

You walk into her workshop, and you know it’s going to be okay. — Rachel T.

Legacy: My Life, My Story

This workshop is about telling your story — memories, moments, and pieces of your life that matter. Through writing and reflection, you’ll shape personal narratives that can be shared, saved, or simply written for yourself.

Vision Board & 7 Tips for Manifesting

Part creativity, part reflection, part “let me actually look at my life.” We use images, writing, and conversation to get clear about what you want more of — and what you’re ready to shift. You’ll leave with a vision board that feels personal and real (not cheesy).

How to Write a Character Monologue and Perform It

Monologues are small pieces of art. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to write and perform a monologue based on a real or imagined character, with practical acting tips along the way.

How to Write a Monologue Using Your Personal Story

A monologue can be a powerful way to tell your own story. We work with pivotal moments from your life and shape them into short performance pieces, with an optional sharing at the end.

About Harrie

I’ve been teaching creativity workshops for over two decades. I come from a theater background, and I care about voice, presence, and what feels true — not what looks impressive. My workshops are for real people who want to try something and see where it leads.
