Acting for the Non-Actor

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to stand in the spotlight—on stage or on screen? Or perhaps you’d like to feel more comfortable using your voice and body, build confidence in front of others, and sharpen your public speaking skills. No experience is necessary! This introductory acting course offers a strong foundation for beginners. Through a series of progressive exercises, students will explore character development, emotional expression, scene and monologue analysis, and basic improvisation. Each activity is designed to build spontaneity, authenticity, and a deeper understanding of the actor’s craft. It’s a fun, easygoing workshop where you’ll tap into your creativity, grow your confidence, and maybe even discover a future in community theater!
